Penn Yan Aero Payment Policy

Penn Yan Aero Overhauled Engines & Engine Repairs:

Penn Yan Aero requires a deposit at the time the overhaul or repair order is placed, and full payment upon completion of the order and prior to return shipment. The deposit for overhaul exchange engine orders is held until the receipt and acceptance of the exchange engine core by Penn Yan Aero, subject to the exchange engine core policy. The deposit paid for the overhaul or repair of the customer’s engine core is generally applied to the invoice total. The preferred payment methods for overhaul and repair orders is either wire transfer or bank cashier’s check.

Penn Yan Aero requires a ten business day payment processing period prior to engine shipment for company checks, personal checks, or online ACH bill payment. While we understand that checks will clear in less than ten business days, there is no system in place that notifies the payee (Penn Yan Aero) when a deposited ACH transaction successfully clears the payor’s account. However, when an ACH transaction does not clear the payor’s account, it takes up to ten business days for the payee (Penn Yan Aero) to receive the NSF / returned deposit item notice via US mail. If engine shipment is required in less than ten business days, then payment must be made by wire transfer or bank cashier’s check.

Lycoming and Continental Factory Engine Orders:

Penn Yan Aero requires full payment of the overhaul and applicable core charges prior to submission of orders on factory engines. The preferred payment methods for factory engine orders is either wire transfer or bank cashier’s check. Penn Yan Aero requires a ten business day payment processing period prior to submission of factory engine order for company checks, personal checks, or online ACH bill payment. Penn Yan Aero will refund the applicable core charge amount upon Penn Yan Aero’s receipt of the factory’s credit / refund. The core policies of Lycoming and Continental are subject to their terms and conditions.

Parts Orders:

Standard payment terms for part sales are COD or Credit Card. Credit Card terms may not be available when special discounts are provided. Special orders and drop shipment orders may require payment at the time the order is placed.
